My Research

Research forms the basis for psychological training and coaching.
That's why I use the latest research findings to improve my practical work.
In my own research, I focus on mental health, personality, and career development.

Relevance of science
for trainings & coachings

Scientific research provides the basis for my counseling services. Other consulting concepts are often based on attractive but untested ideas whose effectiveness is unclear. I use knowledge from current research, particularly in the fields of psychology and management, and base my consulting and coaching on solid, scientific findings. As a researcher with access to trustworthy sources and the latest research findings at the University of Leipzig, I ensure that the methods I use meet critical scientific standards. By properly evaluating and adapting scientific findings, I enable companies and individuals to benefit from up-to-date, well-founded information. New findings are continuously integrated into practice, leading to more effective and sustainable results.

On my research

I conduct research at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Leipzig on various topics in the fields of personality psychology, work & organizational psychology and environmental psychology.

Since completing my doctorate, my research has focused on mental health. I investigate how mental health changes in the course of everyday working life and how even small stressful situations can influence the mood, emotions and burnout symptoms of employees. At the same time, I analyze how interaction with colleagues can positively influence mental health.

Currently, my research focuses on the impostor phenomenon and performance anxiety. People who suffer from the impostor phenomenon often feel that their performance is not as good as others think and fear being exposed as a fraud. To avoid this impression, they often work excessively hard and are prone to anxiety disorders and burnout. My research aims to understand the causes of this phenomenon and to develop strategies for those affected and their managers to deal with it effectively.

In addition, I am investigating how personality influences perception and emotional responses to work situations. I also investigate which personality traits are crucial for successful teamwork and how personal values, such as altruism and egoism, influence environmental behavior and environmental attitudes.
